A healthy diet is based on the right choices

Proteins, iron, vitamin B12, zinc and omega-3 (in red meat from grass-fed animals) are key components of meat that have these outstanding features:

Proteins

They are essential for the formation, growth, and repair of tissues, as well as for the immune system, which plays a vital role defending our body against diseases.

Proteins are essential for growth and brain development.

Iron

Iron is an essential mineral required to produce hemoglobin, a fundamental component of red blood cells, which transport oxygen throughout our bloodstream.

Due to its core function in the transport of oxygen, iron is significantly involved in our health, especially when playing sports (red blood cells improve performance, endurance, and speed).

B12 vitamin

Vitamin B12 is only present in foods of animal origin.

An adequate intake of vitamin B12 reduces fatigue and tiredness. On the contrary, a chronic deficiency is related to potential digestive, neurological and blood issues, such as pernicious anemia.

Zinc

Zinc is an important mineral for cell multiplication and growth, wound healing, the correct functioning of the immune system and the metabolism of carbohydrates.

An adequate intake of this mineral is necessary for protein degradation and synthesis, DNA and RNA synthesis, proper functioning of the immune system, bone development, and the development of sexual organs.

It is present in cells, where it takes part in the activity of over 300 enzymes and fulfills catalytic, structural, and regulatory functions.

Omega 3

Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid, which means our body cannot synthesize it, therefore, it is crucial to include it in our diet.

It is beneficial for the heart, and promotes anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant processes, as well as the reduction of blood pressure and cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
