Uruguay Meats were presented at the Anufood fair, Shenzhen, China, from May 10 to 12 at a stand developed by INAC, which had an important flow of people inquiring about the products. Most of the visitors were from the catering industry, and they were able to hold direct meetings with the commercial representatives of the exporting plants present.
On this occasion, the official Uruguayan delegation that visited the stand was led by the Minister of Livestock Fernando Mattos, representatives of CUPRA, INAVI, Ambassador Fernando Lugris and Consul General in Guangzhou Facundo Fernandez.
The delegation also participated in the Meat Forum and Foodie Space, both activities focused on this industry. The minister spoke there about Uruguay’s livestock and agricultural industry, emphasizing the importance of meat in trade between China and Uruguay, and shared data on our meat production and exports. He also mentioned the plan to export more meat products such as poultry meat to China.
In Foodie Space, chef Lance Yu, made a presentation of Uruguayan beef cuisine in three types of dishes: Cantonese cuisine, Sichuanese cuisine and French cuisine. Uruguayan meat was highly appreciated by the audience, which included about 30 traders and caterers.
