Uruguayan Meats Showcased at SIAL CHINA 2026

From May 18-20, 2026, SIAL China —one of the world’s leading food and beverage trade shows —took place in Shangai.

Uruguay Meats once again participated in the event, reinforcing its long-standing presence and commitment since 2004.

Held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), the exhibition brought together more than 5,000 exhibitors from 75 countries and regions across 200,000 m² and welcomed over 180,000 trade visitors from 125 countries and regions, reaffirming its role as a strategic platform for business development in the Asian market.

Uruguay Meats featured a 660 m² stand organized into two sections. The private restaurant area allowed clients to enjoy tastings of beef tenderloin, ribeye, and tripe, as well as lamb ribs, while the public tasting area showcased the versatility of Uruguayan meats to a broader audience.

For the second year in a row, Uruguay Meats served as a Diamond Sponsor of La Cuisine, the culinary competition organized by SIAL and held on May 19 –20. Now in its 18th year, the event is endorsed by the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS) and brings together eight teams of chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants, both national and international, along with more than 50 certified professional judges. Among the featured ingredients, Uruguayan ribeye steak was one of the highlights.

On May 18, Uruguay Meats also hosted its traditional reception, featuring a tasting of Uruguayan meats and wines attended by importers, buyers, and key stakeholders from across the sector.

A valuable opportunity to showcase the quality, traceability, and versatility of Uruguayan meat while continuing to strengthen relationships in one of the world’s most demanding markets.
