With the aim of further strengthening the international positioning of Uruguayan beef in one of the most strategic markets, Uruguay Meats participated in the 2026 Gulfood edition, the Middle East’s leading food and beverage trade fair. The event took place from January 26 to 30 at the Dubai World Trade Center, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
For the fifth consecutive year, Uruguay Meats showcased the strength of the national meat sector with a dedicated stand designed to promote business development and deepen commercial relationships. In this edition, the Institute significantly expanded its presence, tripling the size of its stand to 288m². For the first time, the space included a private restaurant concept featuring premium beef and lamb preparations, complemented with open tastings for visitors.



As part of its institutional agenda, Uruguay Meats hosted a reception for importers, distributors, chefs, and industry leaders held at 25hours Hotel Dubai One Central. A key highlight of the evening was a live masterclass led by the renowned Chef Mohamad Chabchoul, who also headed the restaurant at the Uruguay Meats stand during the fair. Reflecting on the experience, the chef emphasized the depth of knowledge gained about Uruguayan beef and its distinctive attributes.
Now in this 31st edition, Gulfood 2026, brought together more than 8,500 exhibitors from 195 countries and welcomed over 200,000 professional visitors, reaffirming its position as a premier global platform for the food industry.
