Uruguay Meats, through its sector brands Uruguay Beef and Uruguay Lamb, proudly participated for the second time in the APAS Show 2025 – the largest food and beverage exhibition in the Americas and one of the most important global events for the supermarket sector. Held in São Paulo this May, the event brought together leading professionals from every link in the food industry’s value chain, including distribution, retail, technology, logistics, and innovation.

At the institutional stand, Uruguay Meats focused on promoting premium-quality meats in a strategic market like Brazil, where origin, traceability, and sustainability are increasingly valued.

A standout feature was the “tasting on the go,” which took place in three daily sessions, all of which were in high demand. Participants savored expertly selected cuts, including rump cap (picanha), ribeye steak, and loin and rack of lamb. Thanks to the outstanding quality and perfect preparation, the stand quickly became one of the most visited in the pavilion.

As part of the program, Uruguay Meats also hosted an exclusive dinner at Cor Gastronomía, a restaurant in the upscale neighborhood of Alto de Pinheiros. The menu was specially designed by renowned Brazilian chef Bel Coelho, featuring Uruguay Beef’s ribeye steak, sirloin steak, and the French rack from Uruguay Lamb, all prepared in ways that showcased the versatility and unique flavor of Uruguay’s grass-fed meats. The dishes were paired with Uruguayan wines, creating a truly elevated experience.

The evening was enhanced by meat sommelier Larissa Morales, who guided the harmonization and shared with guests—traders, importers, chefs, influencers, and members of the specialized press—insights into Uruguay’s differentiated production process and how it impacts the superior quality of the final product.

Events like APAS reaffirm the National Meat Institute’s commitment to promoting Uruguayan meats on the global stage, through Uruguay Meats.
