Uruguay Meats had a prominent presence at the Supermarket Trade Show 2026, held in Tokyo; one of the most important events for the food retail sector in Japan, which brings together approximately 80,000 industry professionals.

The Uruguayan delegation featured a stand of 72 m2, designed as a space for cultural and commercial exchange, with the aim of promoting the value of the national industry to buyers, importers, and key players in the Japanese market. The various and distinctive attributes of Uruguayan beef were highlighted during the event with a strong focus on product origin and quality, as well as on production processes and the traditional livestock farming practices that characterize our country.

The stand also offered a tasting menu that consisted of ribeye steak, sirloin and beef tongue prepared in a variety of ways, accompanied by a selection of Uruguayan wines. This combination enhanced the overall gastronomic experience while reinforcing the product’s identity and added value. The event also included an exclusive reception for 80 guests at the Super Bacana Ginza restaurant.

The meeting brought together authorities, importers, exporters and key industry players in an ideal setting to further strengthen trade ties and explore new business opportunities.

Uruguay Meats’ participation in the fair reaffirms its commitment to international expansion and to consolidating the presence of Uruguayan meat in strategic markets such as Japan, strengthening its position as a reliable supplier of high-quality meats in the world.
