In early December, Uruguay Meats welcomed a delegation of nine chefs, grill masters, and journalists from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Porto Alegre, key cities in the promotional campaign for Uruguayan lamb in Brazil.

The purpose of the visit was to strengthen ties, bring cultures closer together, and deepen the understanding of Uruguay’s production process, as well as the cuts and distinctive qualities that set Uruguayan lamb apart.

The experience followed the entire journey “from farm to table”: from visits to the place of origin that underpins the international recognized quality of our meat, to a traditional cordero a la cruz, lamb on the spit prepared by the renowned grill master Sebastián Manito, and tastings of signature dishes at some of the country’s most outstanding restaurants.

Also highlighted was the collaboration of INAVI, which hosted a gathering at a Uruguayan winery for the delegation to experience firsthand the quality of national wines and their natural pairing with Uruguayan meats.

The visit concluded with a tour aboard the Captain Miranda, with the sea breeze as the perfect backdrop to close a memorable experience promoting Uruguayan lamb.

Through these types of international promotional activities, Uruguay Lamb continues to strengthen the presence of Uruguayan meats in the sector’s strategic markets. fostering close relationships with gastronomic opinion leaders, highlighting the value of origin, and building a country brand associated with excellence in production processes, product quality, and sustainability.
