Between June 20 and 22, INAC participated in the Saudi Food Show in Riyadh, capital of Saudi Arabia. In this first edition displayed over 18 500 m2, the show attracted over 500 companies and organizations, with exhibitors and visitors from more than 100 countries. The event also had the support of the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.
On this occasion, INAC participated with a 72-square meter booth; Uruguay was the only Latin American country present. The five Uruguayan private companies that attended as co-exhibitors received an intense flow of people interested in Uruguayan meat. They had the opportunity to taste Uruguayan meat, both beef and sheep meat. The cuts offered were beef tenderloin and striploin and mutton tenderloin. The public was thrilled both with the products and the preparation method.
The booth was visited by the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Mr. Bandar Bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, the Ambassador of Uruguay in Saudi Arabia, Mr. Nelson Chabén and his wife, Brenda Cabrera. The stand activities were coordinated by Cecilia Shaw and Lucas Dávila from INAC’s Marketing Management.
As part of its participation in the fair, INAC, together with the Uruguayan Embassy, held a reception offering Uruguayan beef and mutton cuts for tasting. The event took place at the Embassy and was attended by importers, specialized chefs and customers demanding quality meats. INAC also gave a presentation on the characteristics of production in our country.
